Was just wondering, if I cancelled my subscription but later wanted to resubscribe, could I still keep the characters I made on the previous account I cancelled,....???

Aristedes,
Currently an account with a deactivated subscription will not loose any characters on the account, and upon reactivation the characters will be available. We will announce any changes to this procedure, if such a change were to occur, on our main website (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com).
Please note that aspects of the World of Warcraft that expire with time will continue to expire on a deactivated account, such as honor ranking and in-game mail. This is intended and will not be reimbursed or restored.
I hope that your time away is enjoyable and brief; hopefully we will see you in passing on the Tram in the nearby future. ;)
