Subject: Please advise why tickets are being dropped?
   Hello,

I have recently had two of my previous tickets dropped, while I was online, with no GM contact in game. Instead, the ticket status says that my ticket would be addressed soon, then the open ticket dialog disappears, and I receive an automatic in-game email saying "Sorry for not being able to address your petition while you were online" - I was online during the entire duration and did not receive any contact.

It also alludes that a response was sent to my email address, whereas it has not been sent as of yet.

As far as the issue goes, I'm petitioning about a DK being incurred unfairly while I was travelling through the world (namely Darkshore). I went through what looked like an interesting low level area (there were actually some low level alliance), and I apparently did something to aggro (got too close?) a "Prospector Remtravel". Of course, this had to be a civilian. And of course, it had to walk up, hit me, and kill itself on my touch of weakness.

Now, normally this wouldn't be too bad, except I'm rank 12 trying to get to 13. It cost me 2% of my progress. To put into perspective how much that is for me, I grinded the BGs for about 35 hours last week, and only gained 7% progress toward rank 13. So, you can likely see why I would like that DK removed and the 2% restored, and why there is such an urgency to have it done. I've already incurred a large honor loss from last week's honor tabulation mess up, and I can't afford to lose any more.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I am sorry that your petition was not correctly addressed while you were online, Soul. The necessary information has been forwarded internally to ensure that this situation is addressed. Since players are reporting via this thread that tickets are "dropped" often, I must stress that submitting an email to WoWgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com will greatly aid us in ensuring this does not happen going forward.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse for any honor discrepencies on an individual basis, nor are we able to reverse dishonorable kills. I went and personally tested Prospector Remtravel and could do nothing short of attacking this Civilian-flagged NPC to draw his aggro.

Q u o t e:
What I noted odd about that case is that the mob was running around as if it was aggroed to something else. I was attacking one of the stone giant mobs that was around it. I don't know if it may be possibly linked to one of them. I know of chain link issues that tend to happen with civilian aggro as noted before.

As this is an issue you have difficulty dealing with, I will further suggest this information is forwarded to development, as it is compromising customer's data.

Things I suggest:

- Making all civilians have greatly increased hitpoints such that "accidents" cannot happen, and killing one has to be a willful act.

- Giving civilians critter AI, such that they will run when threatened.

- Removing the civilian status from any remote quest NPCs such as this. I had no forewarning that a civilian was in this place. It is unreasonable that a civilian pose a risk to someone just exploring the world.

Now, while I know that reimbursement would be difficult, I do know it is not impossible. It is possible to prize accounts with, say, WSG/AV/AB marks that would allow me to boost my honor by a marginal amount to make up for the loss incurred by this issue. Can it be pursued in the same manner as an account restoration? I'd just like some options here.

I've killed everything around Remtravel's Excavation site as well without being able to reproduce the scenario you've brought to our attention. It does seem as though this Civilian is functioning correctly. If you have any suggestions for the way civilian flagging should operate, you may want to post on our Suggestions forum at this point.

It might be that a horde was in the area that got Rem riled up (he was running around of his own accord, and it was surprising to see him come after me in that manner) and I picked up aggro somehow.

The only way that would seem to make sense is if you healed any lower level Horde characters being attacked by this NPC enough to gain aggro from him.

Edit: I have additionally tried standing still directly on top of this civilian as a level one Horde character and was not able to get him to attack me. I did aggro nearly the entire Excavation site that way though. ; x

As an Alliance player, I've done the quest involving Remtravel. It's essentially an escort: he walks around the dig site being attacked by various mobs that you have to kill. Is it possible that he was in his 'walking' mode, and that was how he attacked you?

I went ahead and tried this as well. As soon as a member of the Alliance begins the quest, Remtravel goes from a Hostile (red) state, to a neutral (yellow) state. I attacked creatures around him, attacked the creatures he was attacking, and even attacked the Alliance member partaking in the quest. Nothing short of attacking Remtravel himself caused him to attack me.

The only scenarios where I could fathom this NPC attacking another player would be:

a) The player attacked Remtravel,
b) The player used any sort of AoE damage/fear effect, or,
c) The player was healing someone who was being attacked by Remtravel.
