|
I just got my first pet to 60 and unlearned his talents to respec, his stats changed but when i went to re-learn there was nothing listed as available. Everything was still under "known" but not reflected in his stats. My ingame ticket response asked me to log out and come back, i did to no effect, i still cant train in anything even though the pet screen shows 300 training pts available.
suggestions/corrections plz?

Based on your description of the issue you're having with your pet's training points, Nton, it sounds as if you may be experiencing some conflict between your standard user interface and a third-party addon you've installed sometime in the past. As such, I would recommend trying the following steps to restore your interface to its default settings:
Q u o t e: 1) Log out of World of Warcraft to your desktop, thereby exiting the game completely.
2) Navigate to the World of Warcraft folder, which is often found in the Program Files directory (the default path is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft).
3) Either rename (or delete) the WTF, WDB, and Interface folders. (Note: If you do not wish to permanently lose any third-party addons you may have accrued, or macros you've written for your characters, you would be well-advised to merely rename the folders, rather than delete them entirely.)
4) Log back into the game by double-clicking WoW.exe, ensuring that you do not reinstall any addons before doing so.
Please let us know what effect, if any, that process has on your issue; there may be other avenues to pursue, but that's a good place to start. In any case, good luck to you. :)

Q u o t e: OK folks so far I have tried logging out and back, renaming the wdf,wtb and the interface, then flat out removing them but still my pet shows 300 training pts available but nothing listed on the trainer, everything the trainer has is listed under already known.
more ideas?
Interesting. Have you checked the "Beast Training" window, to see if the abilities are listed there? If you hit "P" to enter your Spells & Abilities, it's under the "General" tab. :)

Q u o t e: The first thing I notice is that "growl" is not on my bar or the book.
Have you looked in your pet's spellbook to see if Growl is there? If you hit "P" to enter your own spellbook, it's a tab at the bottom of the window. :)

Q u o t e: growl is not listed in the book anymore, it seems the abilities were unlearned. My bear's armor is lower and the resistances I had before also now show as zero.
To be clear, you've checked both the "Beast Training" window in your General tab, and your pet's spellbook? I'd like to confirm that.

Q u o t e: Ok, I push "P" go to general tab, beast training IS there but no other pet specifics, I go the the beast mastery tab and all the usual is there but not growl. Also the special bar that appears when my pet is out now only has attack/follow/stay and aggressive/defensive/passive
Have you clicked the "Beast Training" icon? That should bring up a window with your pet's abilities. :)
