OK, I have a question in all seriousness... are the GMs supervised in any way? I've seen so many inconsistantcies with GMs it's driving me crazy and makes me wonder if some of your GMs maybe need a full review and possibly be replaced
Examples of inconsistancies and bad GMing:
1. Name changing policies
2. What's considered and exploit and what's not with certain bosses
3. (More applying to forum GMs) Class roles... this isn't inconsistancy, this is just pure... stupidity at times to put it bluntly.
If you want more detail, I will provide it, however, I REALLY think you guys should observe GMs a little more closely..

Hi Kuari,
While this lies a little outside the scope of this forum I thought I would try to shed a little insight into these questions.
First off, yes Game Masters are very much supervised. While like any human answers they will tend to be influenced by opinion, the answers given are regularly reviewed.
I'd like to comment on some of your examples. Firstly on the name changing policy. This isn't a case of inconsistency but instead more one of the player being unable to predict the outcome. For a name to be changed it has to (a) be reported and (b) be in violation of our naming policies. These naming policies are summarized on the World of Warcraft website at:

However the key word there is summarized. It is not the full system used to determine whether a name adheres to our naming policies. This means that a player's opinion on whether a name violates our naming policies may often not be correct.
The second of your examples was regarding what is considered an exploit on certain bosses. Part of the reason for this being there is the "grey area". Let me elaborate. There are activities that would certainly not be exploits, as well as others that certainly are. However beyond these there are all the ones we are closely monitoring and evaluating. For all of these, while we may not be actioning against their use at this time, they are recommended to be avoided by players due to the fact that we may consider them a violation in the near future. This of course leads to particularly vague answers as the Game Master will be unwilling to condone their use even though they may not be a violation.
Unfortunately I am not quite sure what you are referring to with "class roles stupidity" in your final example and thus will be unable to comment. Perhaps you can provide more detail for that one.

As for the stupidity... well a couple times I've seen GMs say something against certain things in class forums with them saying that that specific role of the class doesn't help raids... yet their raid gear bonuses pigeonhole them into that role..
I believe you are referring to a comment made by a CM or Community Manager. I can't really comment on their behalf. You would probably be better asking them regarding this on the class forums or the General Discussion Forum.
