Subject: Account hacked, now what?
ok, so i found out that my password wasnt working so after reseting it, i found out that someone hacked my account and deleted all my armor and gold and items from several characters. After i changed my password and ran a virus scan like blizz said, i wrote to a GM in game saying my account was hacked and wrote what characters lost there items, i got an email back saying that

"In an effort to maintain the security of all World of Warcraft accounts, we are
currently investigating the possibility of a key logger within a trojan virus or
a UI modification. We have reason to believe that the account listed above may
have been accessed without your consent."

it also gave precautions about security, so what does this mean? are they working on getting my stuff back? can i get my stuff back?

   Hello Ffell,

Further down in that email you received was the following section:

Q u o t e:
Check all characters on the account for damage or item loss, and notify us if any is discovered. If you believe that the security of this account may have been compromised, you can e-mail wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com, or contact the Billing Department by phone Monday through Friday, from 9AM - 6PM (PST) at 1-800-592-5499.

I would recommend that you open a ticket to a Game Master in-game and confirm that indeed you are missing armor, gold and items, and specify from which characters. The Game Master will be able to undertake the next steps of this process with you. I wish you the best of luck.
Half King of Beasts + half Monarch of the Skies = ?
