Subject: Blizzard has no idea what they're doing...
   ...with my account. Settle down, this is a long and complicated story of stupidity.

My account was hacked and my characters were stripped of all items. My account was frozen, I sent in my ID, and it was...unfrozen (thawed?).

Now came the character restoration part. I recieved an e-mail telling me to fill out the restoration form. I filled it out and in my stupidity sent it to accountadmin@blizzard.com instead of opening a GM ticket.

Well, it didn't seem to matter. I then got an e-mail saying my ticket was escalated and sent to a specialist. Huzzah! I was finally making progress... or so I thought...

Today I recieved an e-mail telling me not to send the account restoration form to accountadmin@blizzard.com, but to a GM. Okay I think to myself, Ill send it to a GM even though apparently it was already escalated...

So I open a ticket and send the form to a GM... and whats the GM response? This is where it gets amusing. The GM says to me "We're glad your character got restored".

...

Well of course my character has NOT been restored which is why I sent my character restoration in to the GM.

Can a blue please comment on how my restoration is progressing? No one seems to know!

I foolishly replied with the information instead of opening a GM ticket, and yet apparently my request was still escalated to a specialist.. but later they said I sent it to the wrong people and must open a ticket with a GM

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding of this situation, Tanthalas. Due to the content of the petition you submitted earlier, it appears that the Game Master assumed you were requesting a character restoration (which is not the same as a multiple item restoration for a character). I can see that you have already submitted another in-game petition and have informed the Game Master who will be responding to this of the situation, as well as this forum thread. Feel free to let me know how it turns out. = )
