"Once a petition has been escalated, it is imperative that the original ticket is not closed, edited or otherwise changed. Furthermore, do not create another ticket on the same character that submitted the restoration request; this shall overwrite the original petition and remove it from the specialist queue."
My in-game petition was closed, however I recieved an email saying that it had been escalated to the proper specialist. Should the petition had not been closed, or is that normal?
Also, roughly how long does it take for the restoration of a character to be processed to the next step?

Denali, I'll go ahead and look into this for you and see what happened to the petition. What realm did this occur on?

Q u o t e: This occured on the Cenarius realm on Wednesday.
Hey Denali. The information you provided us was forwarded internally to our Account Investigation staff for further analysis. This is slightly different than escalating a petition to our specialists for investigation and does not require an open petition. Please see our Customer Service Forum FAQ for additional information on our procedure for handling reports of compromised accounts:

I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
It's not a dump truck, it's a series of tubes.
