Subject: Off-limit areas like Hyal and Caverns of time
Are places like Hyjal and the Caverns of Time considered off limits? Like, is it an insta-ban if you are caught there, or is it actually in the game to add a fun factor? Are we allowed in there or no? Just curious =D

Exploring in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing; and it's not something that we wish to punish players for. Our reasoning for warning players and keeping them out of these off-limit areas is twofold.

First, there might be creatures in these areas that were placed there for testing purposes only; such as high level elite creatures with only 100hp. It would be a serious form of exploitation if a player was able to enter these unfinished areas and kill the creatures for experience, gold, or items.

Also, because these areas are unfinished, there may be parts of the terrain or environment that are incomplete or missing. A player might become stuck due to the unfinished environment, and would then need to request the assistance of a Game Master. This would not only take time out of the player's gaming experience; but might also prevent the GM from assisting another player who may have a more legitimate issue.

There are many places to explore throughout World of Warcraft, without having to enter unfinished areas; and upon the release of the Burning Crusade expansion, you can be sure that there will be many new areas to explore. :)
