|
I have a guest pass for my friend.
I've been playing this game since.. hell..before retail.
And I like it, so I want my friend to try it out.
Luckily enough, I required a guest pass key from a gamecard I bought.
So... I'm trying to set up a little account for my friend,
if he likes it, he'll pay and play.
If he does not like it,.. oh well, no more of it.
Fair enough right? That's what the Guest Pass is about.
The problem kicks in here.
I start to create an account for him, he fills the information.
etc etc etc..
We come to the 4th step, where the subscription asks for a payment method.
Problem is.. There's no gamecard listed.
And we don't have a Visa account or Mastercard.
So.. We can't get past that step.
Is there any other way to bypass?
I would really like my friend to try the game and see how it's like.
I hope I can get some answers!

I'm sorry to say, Onetouch, that the Game Master Department is unable to assist with such matters; these concerns should be addressed with our Billing & Account Department: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowbilling/
Our Trial Accounts - Frequently Asked Questions does mentioned this on the topic of payment information: Q u o t e: Our billing system is designed to require credit card information when setting up a guest-pass account. This has been done in order to make it as easy as possible for people to continue playing after their trial period has expired. Among other reasons, it is also in place to prevent customers from creating "throwaway" accounts to harass others and to show that this game will require an active subscription if you choose to continue. Please note that there will be no charges placed against the credit card and the account will expire automatically at the end of the 10 or 14 days, depending on the nature of your trial account. If you would like to continue past the trial period then refer to the information on this page for assistance in upgrading your account.
If you have further questions or concerns regarding Trial Accounts, subscriptions, or account setup, please do not hesitate to Contact Billing and Account Services.
