Subject: Race Changing
I need this mage switched to undead. why? will of the forsaken for one. by far the most powerful racial ability in the game, almost worth rerolling for, but at this point i'd rather quit. my second reason is that i've played both factions and the horde definitely has a better crowd. i hate to stereotype, but the alliance is full of wimps and complainers (so what, im a hypocrite). not having the ability to start these people on fire is very frustrating. and then im forced to help them fght the horde, who are probably better players and nicer people than the group i got forced into.

i can sincerely say that i regret choosing a human despite their better looks and easier rep grinding. if i could go back to my early days and slap myself i would. so i think it would be a nice thing for everyone if i get transmogrified into an undead (or troll....i guess.....) when i switch servers. i mean, $25 is a lot of money, it should certainly be enough for this simple superficial change.

Subject: Re: Race Changing
I understand your concern, Goo, as well as your desire to experience playing as a different race by way of the Paid Character Transfer service; having an opportunity to absorb a new culture, personality, and unique dance routine can have a profound effect on one's gameplay, not to mention the new social avenues which would be made available.

That said, there are currently no immediate plans to allow players an option to change their character's race; this is a lasting decision each person must make when creating a new character, and it affects more than one may think: Starting areas, quest lines, racial abilities and spells, even jokes and taunts. All of these aspects of one's character (among a myriad of others) are dictated by one's race, and cannot be changed with a mere flick of a switch. Additionally, one's choice of faction is an important reflection of his or her personality, and being able to simply "switch sides" as you suggest would greatly disrupt the continuity and integrity so carefully preserved in the land of Azeroth.

You say that you wish to change your mage from Human to Undead; what you ask is to be subjected to, and conquered by, the might of the Scourge that have laid waste to so much of this world. To have your ties to family, friends, and fellow Alliance completely severed by the keen edge of death, and then be "reborn" as one of the Forsaken under Sylvanas Windrunner. This is not a decision to be made lightly, and our developers believe that one's race should not be merely a mask, to be changed for each scene.

If you believe such a feature should be implemented, however, I would recommend that you post a topic on the Suggestions Forum (linked below), so that you may offer your ideas to the Development Team, which is better suited to determining the feasibility of such a service. I wish you the best of fortune in making your opinions heard, friend. :)
