Subject: Character Restoration
I was having a char restored and my account has since lapsed. Will you continue with the restoration with out the account being active?

Also its been about 3 weeks now and have not received any notice about the restoration.

Any help would be appreciated.

   Hello Carken,

Was this an investigation into a compromised account? If so, the investigation will continue regardless of whether the account is active. You will be sent an email to your registered email address upon completion of the investigation. However, even if the account has no active subscription at the moment, I would still recommend that you make sure that you follow / have followed any instructions sent to you regarding how to retrieve your account if it was locked.

Q u o t e:
Kaone,

Thanks for you reply. No, it was not a compromised account (User stupidity). I have followed the instuctions just not heard any thing about the account in weeks so was just wondering.

Thanks

A restoration that is not part of an investigation into an account compromise might already be complete after such a time frame. Usually such issues take less time than this to resolve. What was the name and realm of your character involved?

Q u o t e:
Kaone,

I have re-activated the account and if it helps and this is the character that I sumitted the GM Ticket.

Hello again,

I inquired into what took place for you. The following is what I learned. You were sent two emails regarding the restoration of your characters a little over a week ago. These emails were sent to your registered email address. They contained what had been found to be available for reimbursement, and they informed you that you needed to reply to the emails when you were ready for us to go ahead with the restoration. I am guessing that you did not receive these emails. In general that is most likely to happen if the registered email address of the account is not up-to-date or if spam filter settings are not letting all @blizzard.com email addresses through.

So what to do next? Here is my advice. I would recommend you look into your registered email address situation. This may need to be updated with our Billing Department. Once you have determined that your email address is working I would then suggest opening a new ticket to a Game Master. In it say that you did not receive earlier emails sent to you regarding your requested restoration and that you would like them resent.

I hope this helps and that you get this all sorted out soon. Good luck.
