Subject: Botter's Busted By GM But No Punishment?
I recently caught a member of my guild botting (using a 3rd party program to animate his character while he was AFK). It was an obvious case. I reported him, a GM responded, came to the bot's location, and even confirmed to me via /whisper that the character was indeed botting. This player continues to play (although not in my guild).

Is there no punishment for a player who is busted using a bot program? Even when a GM finds him and confirms his activity?

This happened 5 days ago by the way.

I'd like to briefly clarify this situation for those reading this thread. The Game Master who responded to the OP's petition did not provide the player with the results of the investigation. When asked if she needed coordinates to find the reported player, the Game Master simply said, "I'm actually standing right here already." No additional information was provided as to the actions we would take.

Orebanktwo, to address your concern, all of the pertinent information taken from your petition and conversation with a Game Master was forwarded by Game Master Lynolar to our Hacks teams for further investigation. This can mean that the actions taken will not be immediate; however, you can rest assured that we will handle the situation accordingly. ; )
One great big festering neon distraction...
