So, I'm level 260 alchemy, I have a friend get me 21 Arthas' Tears (cause this is on a level 35 character) and some sungrass and other herbs.... she gets them for me
I sit down and make three Dreamless Sleep Potions and get two levels, 259 and 260
I run out of bottles at that moment, so I run to buy 40 Crystal Bottles and then go back to the bank in Darnassus to make 21 Elixir of Detect Undeads and 3 Superior Mana Potions, with not a single level gained
55 days, 13 hours, 39 minutes, 34 seconds to 60

Valalvax,
I just created a character, brought the Alchemy up to 260 and created 21 Elixirs of Detect Undead and 3 Superior Mana Potions and was able to gain some skills, it appears to be working fine from I am seeing; note that skill gains are not guaranteed. I'm not quite sure what to say, save for attempting to create more and see if the issue persists.
Concerning your character's inability to use the flight NPC, I would recommend logging off and back on and then re-attempting.
I'm sorry, Valalvax, for any frustration causes - hopefully the situation doesn't repeat itself. If it does please gather as many details concerning what was happening at the time and let us know, we would appreciate it. ;)

I see. Does your character have any NPCs, monsters, etc. targeted when creating the potions? There was an issue some time back that caused players to not gain the proper amount of skill points when having something targeted.

*edit* ok, I need to buy two more crystal vials and then I can make two Dreamless sleep potions, I'll stand on my head and not target anyone while doing it, after that, I'm gonna become an unreasonable customer and demand compensation for all the mats I used (IE: you unalchemize them and give me the original mats back, then fix the bug and let me get all my shiny points)
I'm going to be straight forward with you, Valalvax, unfortunately we not able to restore any materials used when creating items. I would love it if this was so, however it is not a possibility. I do apologize. :(
I do appreciate you taking the time to help determine the cause, as that will hopefully lead to the overall issue being prevented from happening in the future.
