hi, this morning i was going to raven hill to help out my guildie then right when i landed at the Gryphon place at darkshire i saw my self getting hit by about 5 shadow spells! Right before i died i noticed this F***** undead priest on the roof next to the gryphon master!! and he was shooting shadow spells at everyone that was in range!! and he continued to F***** camp me and my friends and these other players as we rezzed our bodies!! and no one could get to him because he was on the roof!! this was really anoying and he wouldnt stop until about 2 hrs later i heard.
i was just wondering is this a bannable offense? i hope it is because i want to know that his account got banned and he sufferd like heck.[ post edited by Aladre ]

The act of rooftop camping in the manner you've reported, in-and-of-itself, is not considered a "bannable offense." This is entirely contingent upon whether or not the player has a rather troubled account history with us. In any event, rooftop camping is a violation of our policies; if witnessed, the appropriate actions will be taken against the offender.
For further details as to why the penalty may vary in severity, I implore you to scope our penalty volcano:

Q u o t e: Wait wait... why is it bannable? If someone can get onto the rooftop to camp them, then others can get on the rooftop to kill the camper, no? How is rooftop camping different from regular camping except that getting to the camper is a bit more difficult?
Firstly, I said it wasn't directly bannable unless an account has a jaded history of violations.
Now, in places such as Darkshire, it is not fair. That is an Alliance town where the citizens are protected by guards. If you jump on top of a roof where the guards cannot attack you, you have effectively circumvented NPC pathing to make killing players much more easy. This is considered an abuse of game mechanics, as the town guards are meant to defend and protect the people.
