Well, i would post this on the account in question but unfortunately, it got banned from the forums by the hacker advertising characters for sale.
My issue is this: my priest was hacked, and all the gear subsequently destroyed/sharded (i assume disenchanted, from the "restoration" items i received).
I proved the account was mine and within 14 hours it was refrozen because of a gm ticket i filed trying to get my items back. So i called and talked to a phone representitive about it and got it unfrozen.
Fast forward a month later, i finally receive items in the mail! hurray! my transcendence is back! not really. i sifted through the mail box and found a bunch of nexus crystals and large brilliant shards.

that's what i had prior to this happening.
my question is, will the items still be restored or am i stuck with some shards to sell for gold i don't need?
if i'm stuck with shards, then why in god's name would you even bother restoring that? it's basically adding insult to injury by saying "we know that your things got disenchanted, but we'll give you the shards instead of the items! ENJOY FARMING BLACKWING LAIR FOR MONTHS AGAIN! AHAHAHHAHAHAHA"
i sent in an email just now to WoWGM@blizzard.com, but so far the few i've sent in have gone unanswered/ignored.
please tell me this is just another step in restoration, and not the end of it.

Hey Mallice. I apologize for the delay in response as I was investigating this situation. The issue you've reported does appear to be a step in the restoration process. This situation is now awaiting further review from a Character & Item Specialist who will work to restore your missing items. While restoration is not guaranteed, we're not just going to give you back the disenchanted materials if this disenchantment took place while the account was compromised. Please feel free to keep me updated via this thread when you receive more information from our investigators and specialists. ; )

Hi Mallice. I was able to confirm with the Account Investigator who handled your case that the necessary information was passed onto a Character Specialist to begin restoring your missing equipment. Our specialists do have a rather hefty email inbox at the moment, so I ask for a just a little bit more patience as we conclude this process. I have seen the logs verifying many items that went missing from your character, so I know the previous responses you received from Game Masters on the 17th via email were incorrect. Please accept my apologies for this confusion. Feel free to keep me updated via this thread when you hear from our specialists.
