I am using my friend's account to post this because my account was hacked. I emailed wowadmin and billing. 1st email to wowadmin to report my account being hacked, after 3 days, no response. 2nd email to billing, took them 30 secs for them to tell me its not their problem ,go look for wowadmin. 3rd email to wowadmin again to help retrieve password, was replied to fax details etc. After sending the that email, I managed to retrieve my password through the automated system, so I emailed them again not to ban my account . Received an email on monday that my account will be banned for 72 hours because the hacker used my account to stash loot from his other hacks, and an email with the findings for the investigations will be sent to me.No email regarding that was received after 72 hours. But wowadmin did emailed me again to inform me that my account will be banned UNTIL I fax them my account details, even though I sent them numerous email saying my account was no longer hacked.
Just want to ask , How LONG is my account going to be banned? I DONOT have any means of faxing the details to the US. And by the way, Doesnt the WOW Admins ever talk to each other?? 2 different admins doing 2 different bans on my account.[ post edited by Horsinn ]

I have inquired into the status of your account and can confirm what you have said - that your account is currently locked and awaiting you to provide identification to verify proof of ownership. Typically this is done via fax but can also be mailed in. If you have any questions regarding this process or about your account in general, you will then need to contact our Account Administration Department. Q u o t e: 15 mins after I sent the email to help retrieve my password, I sent them another saying its ok, no help needed because I got my password through the automated system. So they just ignored my second email? Like I said I donot have any means of printing or faxing over the details and I have already waited a week for the "investigations" which I am still waiting for the results, Dont want to wait another week by snail mailing them. Is there no other way?
When an account is locked after being compromised this is done for the registered account user's own security. In general when a computer is compromised, all password information on the computer may no longer be private or secure. This means even your email address may not longer be under your control anymore. Verifying that the password has been changed recently is insufficient "proof" that the account is back in the registered account user's possession.
