Subject: Non-restoration of trade skills |

A friend of mine recently had his account hacked and lost all his alchemy skills and recipes (dropped for enchanting). It seems it is Blizzard policy not to restore trade skills and recipes, or that they are for some reason unable to. I just want to know the reason why they are unable to restore trade skills and recipes. Anybody know what the official answer is to this question?

Viria, unfortunately we are not able to restore professions - this isn't because we do not want to, it is simply something that is beyond capabilities at the moment. :(
I am very sorry that your friend encountered this situation, and that we weren't able to provide a restoration of every loss. We're constantly striving to improve our level of customer service, and perhaps in the future such a restoration will be possible.
