Subject: Please Read: Issues with Password Retrieval.
We have received reports that players are currently experiencing an issue when attempting to reset their password via the Account Management page; this feature is intended to reset the current password on one's account, generate a new, random password, and automatically send that to the e-mail address registered to the account in question.

At this time, it would appear that the e-mail with the randomly generated password is not being sent accordingly, effectively preventing players from logging into their accounts.

As such, until further notice, please do not attempt to reset your password for any reason.

You may rest assured that the appropriate departments are aware of this issue, and are working fervently to resolve it as quickly as is possible; we shall provide further updates once additional information becomes available. For those players who are currently unable to log into their accounts: Please accept our most sincere apologies for any distress or inconvenience this may have caused you. Once we are able to address the situation on a more permanent basis, you should be able to reset your password again via the link below and regain access to your account. In the meantime, your continued patience and understanding are much appreciated. If you have any questions, please ask us. :)

Hate to be a pain, but is there an update on this issue. As much as i *LOVE* refreshing the page to find out. Is there an ETA on this resolve?

You have my word that resolving this matter is of the highest priority, Darkstaar, but I'm afraid that no updates are yet forthcoming; when I hear something, though, you folks will be the first to know. Moonkin's honour. I'd like to see this sorted out as much as you, guys; in the meantime, please do not continue asking for information I'm not able to offer. :)

Update - 1:42 AM PDT: We are pleased to report that the issue appears to have been resolved. The Password Retrieval page should now be sending e-mails accordingly with the new, randomly generated password. If you have not been able to access your account, please visit the URL below and reset your password once again -- a new one should be sent to you with which you may log in. Thank you so much for your patience, ladies and gentlemen. If you are still experiencing any issues, please do let us know. :)

Q u o t e:
Ok, it appears that it's working now in that I can login and look at my account. Is there any way I can get that email forwarded to me a third time as to why there's an issue with my account?

Thy will be done, friend. Please remember that you can also e-mail wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com for more information. :)

Q u o t e:
What the.. Pav, odd error. When I clicked reply, it.. opened up the reply box, but in the box where it shows the post you're replying to, it showed no avatar, a skull where the player level would be, and it said, "WoW Stress Tester." Also, there was no subject.

I was scared, Pav. Hold me.

It's fixed now, but wow, that was weird.

That's what you get when you try to reply to a post that has been deleted; I made a typo, you see, and I didn't want to have that ugly "[post edited by Pavonum]" in my reply. ;)
