Subject: Account name retrieval
   "There are no account names that match the email address you provided. Please check the email address again for any missed or incorrect characters."

I get this message at the account name retrieval page when I enter my email address. This is frustrating, as the site is not accepting my email address for password recovery either. I even logged on at the site and double checked my account info, copy + pasting my email address from the account info onto the account name retireval page. No luck. Oh yeah and it's definitly that email address, blizzard sent me an email last week after my brother was reported for spamming in general. Any help would be appreciated.

   That does seem odd, Wragestein. Can you offer the name and realm of a character on the account in question, so that I can look into the matter further and determine what may be amiss? Also, out of curiosity, why do you need to retrieve your account name if you can log into Account Management to see the e-mail address registered to your account? :)

It's a long story. Although I am the offical owner of the account I understand that you can 'share' an account with one person at the same address as you. My brother changed the password because he thought our account was being hacked... right before he went on a school camp...
No worries I thought, I'll just enter the info for password retrieval and I'll be all set. At first I thought I had orignally mispelt the answer to my secret question (city of birth) so I tried the account name recovery. No dice.

I don't see any indication that the e-mail address registered to your account has been changed, Wragestein, so it may be an issue with your browser; have you tried more than one (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)? If all else fails, you'll want to contact Billing directly, as this sounds like a matter they may be better suited to handle; you can get in touch with them via e-mail ( and phone (1-800-59-BLIZZ) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday. I wish you the best. :)

I feel I should also point out that there are no circumstances whatsoever under which you may "share" your account with anyone, save for one minor child, regardless of whether they happen to live in the same household as you; to do so is in direct violation of the Terms of Use to which you have agreed to adhere, more specifically Section 1A. To wit:

You may not share the Account with anyone, except that if you are a parent or guardian, you may permit one (1) minor child to use the Account when not in use by you. You are liable for all uses of the Account.
