On five occassions a druid has battle ressed my pet. I do not want to hear about how druids shouldn't waste BR on pets, or anything else off topic. What our my character, and my characters allies chose to do with our abilities provided it does not breech the tos is our business. This is not the place to bring up your 'pets dont need healz' bs ty.
Three of the five times upon being raised the pet was unresponsive. By unresponsive I mean he would not leave my side. He would not defend himself even though he was on defensive, or when he was put on agressive. He would not respond to a direct attack command.
Two of the times this did not happen, both those times we werent in combat at the time. I reported this as a bug in a gm ticket. The GM gave no real help so I am reporting it here. Battle Ress cost a reagent. If you don't want it to be used on something it should not be targetable on it. But since it is, it should not cause a pet to completely bork out. Yes fixing it is a dismiss resummon but if I had TIME to do that we would not have battle ressed in the first place.

Based on the information you've provided, Nightbreeze, I did some testing of my own; as you suggested, I discovered that if Rebirth was cast on my hunter's pet while in-combat, it would merely cower by my side and make no effort to defend me or even itself when attacked. This does not seem, to me, to be the intended functionality for this mechanic, so I'll be filing a report for the proper authorities -- that is to say, Quality Assurance -- to investigate the situation further; they'll look into the matter, and determine how best to resolve it.
In the meantime, I found a couple means by which you can bring your pet out of its funk should this occur in the future: If I clicked the "Follow" or "Stay" icons on its action bar, or switched from "Defensive" to "Passive" and then back again, it would come to my aid once again. Let me know what effect, if any, that has on your issue; there may be other avenues for me to pursue, but that should do it. I'd like to apologise for any confusion you may have been caused by your previous correspondence with our department regarding this matter, Nightbreeze, and thank you for your patience while we analyse the issue. If I hear anything more regarding the status of our investigation, I'll be sure to let you know. :)

Q u o t e: Oh geez. Lock the topic now, for the love of Gawd.
I don't see any need to go so far as locking the thread, but I will request that we keep it on-topic. :P
