So its my Guilds 4th night in MC and we get the Arcanist Belt drop from a random trash mob. As is the rules within the Guild all members pass i roll need so that it can be Rolled for by the mages at a later spot in the Raid.
Chat says i receive the item, so i check my bags and its not there? hummmmm i get everyone else to check there bags, no one else has it. I relog nothing, so i check CT Raid Tracker, the item does not appear there. I get other members to check CTRT same deal, no one shows that it ever dropped even though we just rolled for it.
So i submit a petetion and carry on with MC.
A GM convo's me a bit later and tells me that they have no record of the item beiing dropped, deleted or sold, even thought 40 people just saw the item and had to click a button to pass on or roll on it. So the GM tells me that we can not be helped and won't be getting it back.
This is aweful, it our 4th night in MC, we are not super geared and to lose a drop like this for us hurts the Guild.
Terrible, Terrible service!
I find it very hard to believe that if 40 people saw the item and had to interact with the game to either roll or pass there is no way of finding that information out.
Thx for helping the new Guilds, by being no help whatso ever.
I went outside once, the graphic's suck!

Before all else, Total, I would like to extend my most sincere apologies for the apparent distress you have been caused by this matter; I happen play a mage whose guild has had a dearth of Arcanist Belts, so I know how precious they can be. That said, if possible, I'd like to explain the reasoning behind our stance on this sort of restoration request. :)
You see, in the event that an item is unable to be looted accordingly for whatever reason, we are only able to provide reimbursement for items that drop off boss (or sub-boss) creatures. While I understand your frustration at having lost a valuable Bind-on-Equip item in such a fashion, please understand that we conduct our investigations based on the name of the mob that dropped the item; thus, the more common the creature, the more complex our investigation becomes, to the point of being logistically impossible.
As an example, consider your average Lava Pack -- they're killed in droves during each individual Molten Core run, and each individual mob within them has a chance to drop various Bind-on-Equip items. Even if a group is able to recall that it was a Firewalker that dropped an Arcanist Belt -- and that isn't always certain, given that there are three or four mobs in each pack -- dozens upon dozens of Firewalkers are killed on a given day, making it exponentially difficult to find the precise kill that yielded the item. Shazzrah, on the other hand, is killed once per instance, and likely only a few times per day; it's much more feasible to find the specific instance in which he dropped, say, the Ring of Spell Power.
Please believe me when I say that I'm truly sorry for any losses your group may have incurred, Total; you genuinely have my best wishes in your future attempts to conquer Molten Core and acquire the Epic items you deserve. If there's anything more I can do to be of further clarification, please do let me know, and I'll see what I can do. Thanks, friend. :)
