Subject: Why do we need to use Blizzard downloader?
Ok, I bet this was a great idea when it was first brought up in whateber kind of meeting you guys have, but the fact of the matter is having to go through another program just to download a patch that Blizzard puts out is absurd. Why not just host the file and provide a direct link to it? You realize that after a couple people download it it gets hosted up on guild websites and sites such as filefront just because the blizzard downloader is so unbelievably slow and annoying?

Don't tell me its my computer because it isn't, when I run the downloader it seems like my internet gets totally cut off. I can't visit any websites or anything until the downloader finishes or I cancel it.

Why does Blizzard keep this useless method of downloading patches?

Subject: Re: Why Blizzard Downloader Sucks?

Q u o t e:
Well it would be great if my T3 connection would get past 0% (Yes i'm hehind a firewall and yes all the ports for it are open.) I'll be happy to post a screenshot of my browser trying to load google at over minute and the downloader at 0%.

Fact of the matter is why not just host the stupid file on their website and have users directly download it instead of going through this useless software.
I would also recommend posting about this on the Technical Support Forum. Perhaps one of our Tech Support Representatives can assist you in adjusting your configurations to improve the Blizzard Downloader's performance. Good luck, Fhantum.
But hark, methinks a mortal doth approach...
