Subject: Being pickpocketed by rogues
Hi, there. I am curious if it is supposed to be possible for a player to be pickpocketed by a rogue of their same faction.

I had never seen such a thing, but then my husband was walking through Ironforge and someone pickpocketed 5 gold off of him.

I was just wondering if this is working as intended, or if it was some sort of a hack.

This is not in any way possible, Rosinde. It's likely that the Rogue simply used an emote to make it look as though your husband was being pickpocketed. The emote would look something like this:

"/emote pickpockets 5 gold from Rosinde."

I'm sorry for any confusion that this has caused.
