Hey guys, not used to having to report things, so I don't fully understand the process (/ignore works fine for me, lol)
But lately, I've been getting more and more in-game mail for websites to buy gold from. I got 3 seperates ones between Thursday and Sunday alone.
Frankly, I'm getting tired of it, it's almost as bad as when I'd get a raid invite on my druid main, only to find out the raid leader is botting "Go to *insert website here* for the best prices on WoW gold" 75 times before I can even click on "Leave group".
What is the proper course here? Report them to GM's? What would it fall under exactly? And lastly, should I also give them the websites and hope they shut them down? (With the faint hope that less websites = less farmers = mebbe more chances for me to actually be able to hit the stupid ore node to work up engineering, hehe) Or do I just give them the player name and hope my experience gets more entertaining at the thought of their ban?

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience that these in-game advertisements have caused you, Symba. Should you receive one of these advertisements, please submit an in-game petition as soon as possible. If possible, try to include the name of the player that sent it and a short description of the content (include the name of the website, if you can), and keep the mail in your character's mailbox until a Game Master contacts you; as this will greatly assist the GM in taking all appropriate actions. Thank you!

Q u o t e: This would classify as harrassment. If you wish to report it then when you hit the question mark select the right one (I forget the names or I'd tell you exactly) then explain that you got spammed and give the character's name who sent you the mail. Blizzard will investigate it and take the appropriate action.
Ah, I forgot about that. Cryo is correct; this would be considered harassment, and you can place it under the "verbal" category, if you like. Thanks Cryo!
Pulgosa, you can advertise your services in the Trade channel or whispers, but I would suggest that you be very careful to ensure that you do not repeatedly spam players; as that could be considered harassment. The type of advertisement that the original poster is speaking of involves the sale of World of Warcraft gold for real-world currency; which is a violation of our policies.
