Subject: Harrassment Clarification
In a recent (now locked due to various reasons) thread (https://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-customer-service&t=101248&p=1&tmp=1#post101248), a Blizzard poster (Caerrus) was quoted as saying...

Q u o t e:
Please keep in mind, however, that merely telling someone they are on a "gycamp list" of some sort does not violate any of our policies, and our Game Master staff will not be able to penalize a player for that.

It was implied that the player making the threat concerning graveyard camping used an alt on the opposing faction to send the communication. Now, I am aware that simply having a second account, and thus being able to play both factions on the same server, is of course not against the Terms of Service. However, I have been under the impression that using said second account in order to facilitate in-game communications across factions was, in fact, a violation. Based on the posts in this thread, I am no longer sure. Could I get a clarification, please?

If a player owns two seperate accounts, it is in no way a violation of our Harassment Policy to have one character on a PvP realm on the Alliance and one character on the other account on the same PvP realm on the Horde side. Using the character as a means of cross-faction communication is therefore not a violation of our Terms of Use.

In that document it states that players may not modify any files that are a part of the WOrld of Warcraft installation or create any cheats, "mods", hacks, or other third party software that modifies the gameplay experience; or allows the player to chat or directly communicate with a player of the opposite faction.

The two accounts are completely seperate, aside from having the same owner. An Alliance character communicating with other members of the Alliance is perfectly acceptable; even if the owner of the account has a seperate account with a character on the Horde side on the same realm. I hope this helps to clear up any confusion surrounding this matter, Prat.
