Also do i need to buy the game WoW first to do so or is it just possiable to just add the gamecard to the trial and contuie playing with no side affects?

In order to continue playing your account after the Trial period ends (and level your character past 20), you will need to upgrade your Trial Account to a full version. Until your account has been upgraded, it will not be possible for you to add a payment method (a Game Card, for example). It is possible to upgrade your account to a full version by purchasing a retail copy of World of Warcraft at your local store, and then going to the Account Management page and entering in the Authentication Key.
It's also possible to upgrade your account online without needing to purchase the retail boxed version of World of Warcraft. When you upgrade your account, all Trial restrictions will be removed, and you will receive 30 days of free gametime. You can upgrade online by visiting the following page:

I hope this answers your question, Kejii.

No, you will not (as I stated in my above reply) be able to use a Game Card on your account until your account has been upgraded to a full version. The Game Card can not be used to upgrade the account, and can only be used as an alternative method to pay for the monthly subscription.

If you have not yet upgraded your account online, you will need to visit the "Upgrade Trial Key Online" page and enter your credit card information to pay the activation fee (which will upgrade your account). Have you done so, Kejii?

Yes, now that your account has been upgraded to a full version, you can add a Game Card by going to the following page and following the instructions:

When you upgraded your account to a full version, you received 30 days of gametime as part of the activation fee. If you choose to add the Game Card now, the prepaid gametime from the Game Card will not begin until after your current subscription (the free 30 days) expires.
