Hi,
I was hoping to transfer a character from realm A to realm B, but I wasn't sure how the name change works.
If my character on realm A was named XXYYZZ, but I hated that name and wanted it to be changed to ZZYYXX when I transfered it to realm B, do I have to ensure that the name XXYYZZ is already taken on realm B?
If XXYYZZ does not exist on realm B, and I create a level 1 alt on realm B named XXYYZZ, when I transfer XXYYZZ from A to B, will I be allowed to rename my character or will the transfer staff delete my level 1 alt (because they know it is on my account and hasn't been logged into or leveled) and force me to keep my original name?

If you wanted to transfer a character from realm A to realm B and a character with the name of XXYYZZ already existed on realm B, you would (when the transfer is complete and you log onto that character on realm B for the first time) be given the option to choose a new name for that character; regardless of what level your existing character is on realm B. I hope that answers your question!
