A while ago before i went on vacation i was able to have the privledge of havnig a GM watch over one of my guilds AQ20 runs late at night after an extremely laggy AQ40 run. The response was around the lines of "Im here, im experiencing no lag, do you need anything else?"
Is there a way to truely know a Gm is there? I.E. it wasnt a full raid we had, and i couldnt see him, i tested talking ing eneral chat trying to lure him into scolding me / tipping me off that hes in the instance, to no avail.
My question is - How can i really know the GM is there and not fishing off tanaris whispering to me and not caring? I would like to ahve seen him obvserving.

Game Masters generally do not reveal themselves to players unless it is absolutely necessary, Knar; it tends to draw quite a bit of attention -- both good and bad -- and also has the unfortunate side-effect of disrupting players' immersion. That said, if a Game Master has informed you that he or she is inside the instance with your group to test out a potential issue, you have my utmost assurance that he or she is telling the truth; there are teams of individuals whose duty is to ensure that Game Masters are both staying within the boundaries of our policies, and doing all that is necessary or appropriate to assist players. We do not mislead or misrepresent such matters as you have described. Though I understand your desire to observe the Game Master's presence for yourself, please believe me when I say that you can trust us to treat players with mutual respect. :)
