Subject: [Bug]: Polymorph isn't affected by DR
If the Mage continues to re-Polymorph the player while the player is already afflicted by Polymorph, diminishing returns will not set in. They can cast Polymorph unlimited times and effectively keep the player sheeped for a full 45 seconds unless they happen to get a string of bad luck and the player breaks sooner. Using this method, a Mage can also cast Polymorph much more than three times.

Every other class is stuck with three casts of Crowd Control and then immunity, no matter what. I believe Mages should be as well. If a Mage decides to cast Polymorph twice on an already-Polymorphed player, the Diminishing Returns should set in. They should not be able to cast Polymorph 30+ times on an already Polymorphed target.

Edit:
I'll also add that if a Mage casts Polymorph 30 times initially while a player is sheeped, the diminishing returns will not start until the player loses Polymorph and is then re-Polymorphed.

Edit:
I'll add one more thing, because it's something that's always confused me. My keyboard seems to not input commands for a few seconds after I'm Polymorphed. It's as if there's a short stun time directly after Polymorph wears off. I'm wondering if Blizzard can fix the keyboard input so if I hold a movement key while Polymorphed, it will automatically start moving as soon as I'm out of Polymorph. The stun effect is killing me, and I'm not sure what it's from.

Polymorph is currently not displaying an immune message after diminishing returns have been activated, this is an issue we're aware of.

Are you sure that this is not just a perception issue from the lack of message? From our testing here we're finding that using both polymorph spells on the same target actually causes extra diminishing returns.

   Hello Everyone.

We've tested all three versions of polymorph very extensively and are satisfied with the interaction of all three.

In PVP, repeated casts of the same polymorph spell on a currently polymorphed target do not extend the timer, and they do not activate diminishing returns. This is intended.

If you cast a different polymorph spell on a currently polymorphed target (for example casting pig on a sheeped target) it does reset/extend the timer AND activate diminishing returns. Since this is the same as casting different ranks of the existing polymorph spell we do not consider this a bug.

There currently is no immune message displayed for polymorph when it is affected by diminishing returns or when cast on a currently polymorphed target, I'll look into this and see about getting it changed.
