Q u o t e:
There's another reason the Addons button might have not been visible. I recently ran into this myself when fixing my anti-aliasing bug.

In order to fix my anti-aliasing bug, I ended up deleting my config.wtf file. The first time WoW loads after that, it assumes that since you have no config.wtf file, that you've basically done a fresh install and so it'll play the intro movie and make you click through the EULA and TOS again (along with setting defaults for video options and some interface options). When you get to the char select on that first load, the Addons button is gone regardless of whether you have your Addons properly installed. Exiting WoW and starting it back up again will bring the button back (as well as give you the standard post-patch warning message about Addons being out of date). You don't even have to log all the way in with a character.

I've tested this on 3 different systems all with the same result.

Thanks, this is fixed for a future update.
