Subject: Blackrock Spire inspired by 80's D&D Cartoon?
A little tongue in cheek here...

I grabbed an episode of the classic 80's D&D cartoon on my DVR back on 21-May-06. "Servent of Evil", Onn Toon-Disney. I'm sure some of you remember the show from back in the day, Saturday mornings in the early 80s.

Anyway, the epside wasn't anything special, but I couldn't help but notice an EXTREME resemblance between BLACK ROCK SPIRE and the setting of this episode, Venger's Prison of Anguish! It's a fortress suspended over a volcano by giant chains. There's even a scene where the kids are racing up one of the chains to escape.

I took some screen shots and have put them up on Flickr for you all to see.

Regardless of any actual inspiration, I think it's a cool correlation to even remember and make. I have never been a morning person, so I missed out on a lot of Saturday morning cartoons.
