Subject: Talent respecialization cost...dead horse?
Was there ever any word as to whether or not the devs would consider lowering talent respecialization costs?

I've heard a few suggestions as to how this could be done and thought the reduction in cost over time method seemed viable. I would like to change talents every couple months or so, just to mix up my play style but the increasing gold cost always dissuades me.

disclaimer - Sorry if this topic has been beaten into the ground, I just don't remember if there was ever any response to this. It seems like most players would like to see something like this implemented.

As the players have brought up this concern, along with many ideas about the talent respec cost, we've discussed it with the developers, and their reply has always been consistent in stating they are happy with the respec cost as is.

There are no plans to change or tweak the way this works any time soon.

Q u o t e:
Bah.
You could at least make it like honor. The more time passes without respeccing, the lower the price gets.

This was one of the ideas that were brought up and shot down. They have no desire to implement a respec cost decay. Again, maybe after the game has evolved a great deal, this is something we can revisit, but it is a no go at this time.

Q u o t e:
Is it possible to request them to provide us with some of their thinking on the matter? At least some form of pros and cons to help people get a better understanding as to why this was their final decision?

(Understanding the whys and hows often goes a long way to eliminating confusion and raising customer satisfaction and awareness in a single stroke.)

Thanks!

It's been mentioned already, but I will gladly reiterate. :)

1. To reduce the number of times that a player will change their talents. We want each decision to be meaningful, and each talent point to be valuable.

2. To serve as a money sink.
