You guys wear many hats at Blizz.. I know you can't be to specific, and in no way is this a call for you to justify your time to me/us.. but I really am curious what a CM's typical work day ends up being..
could you enlighten me/us?
Be as general or specific as you want..
Ie..
I arrive at work at 8am and review issue status
from then on I read logs, after that I visit the Dev's etc etc..
Thanks in advance guys.. I think this might help some understand that you don't just sit around laughing at us all day long.. and that you actually do other things. :) And maybe help us understand that sometimes certain things can back you up and you don't get to things you wanted to do.[ post edited by Alt ]

I come in at 11, fire up my eMail and read through what I've missed over the last evening. Once I'm caught up on the current situation (this takes about 10-15 minutes) I dive into the forums.
Early, I focus on the General Forum -- this is where the hardest-hitting issues appear, and it's a good melting pot of the variety (and severity) of issues faced by the community. I take stock of what needs answering and also throw out my own answers that don't need developer input.
If there are some issues that need some developer time, I'll shoot off an eMail or pop upstairs and chat with them.
Around this time, I start checking up on the other parts of my job -- managing the Fan Site Program, the MVP Program, and other such tasks. I also normally get started on the number of writing tasks -- for web updates and other things -- that tend to pile up overnight.
I tend to pop into the class forums shortly afterward to read up on things, even if I don't respond, and also peruse the Suggestion forum.
As my day winds to a close, I tackle General again full force, responding with any information I've gained.
I also attend a variety of meetings throughout the week to speak with the designers and keep abreast of any new developments.
Also, in response to handling the boards -- I keep a good sense of humor about it. To do otherwise is madness. ;)

I distinctly remember hearing about the money ball fights in a post months back. When do those happen?
And how often do they change the Mountian Dew in your vat?
(Sorry, I couldn't resist bringing up old funny blue posts)
The vat cleaning is a weekly affair.
Also, the money ball fights ended when I broke Eyonix's wing. Uh, with my robotic arm. That I have.

But not all of them start at 11? I've seen Tseric on at 4am sometimes :P
I work til 8PM.
Also, Tseric, Eyonix and I tend to read the boards at home, too. :P
