Subject: Movie codecs - need help
   Hey,

I am currently finishing off a movie from wow that is approximately 14 minutes long. However, for some reason I can't seem to find the appropriate codec, since my file ends up around 140 mb.

I am currently using the "DivX ;-) MPEG-4 Low-Motion" codec with Interleave every frame, every 10th frame is a keyframe and 1360 kilobits per second.

Does anyone have any suggestions about alternate codecs I can use?

DivX 6 perhaps? I think their page also has explanations and tools for what framerates, etc to use.
You could also try the standard windows, wmv, format. Windows comes standard with Moviemaker 1 , but you can upgrade to version 2 through windows update.

The only other one I know you could try would be Xvid.. but also do a search for bitrate or framerate calculating tools. Find something that will tell you how to tweak your encoding settings to the max.
