Q u o t e:
Over the last few months we have put realm performance as one of our highest priorities and made several changes and updates to address this. We've seen improvements on all World of Warcraft sites despite a continued strong growth in the number of players in the game and being active at peak playing hours.
We've spent the past few weeks obtaining new, top-of-the-line equipment and preparing it for deployment at a new World of Warcraft site. This new site, which we expect to go live by the middle of April, will allow us to open new realms to accommodate our growing player base.
To make sure the launch of the new site goes well, we plan on testing the new hardware, along with the 1.10 content patch, on the public test realms. This testing phase is scheduled to go live next week. In addition to monitoring the impact of the new game content, we will be able to observe the performance of the new hardware under conditions that closely resemble a live environment.
To make things interesting, we will be holding three skill-based contests during this test, starting next week. Players with active accounts in Europe, Korea, and North America will be able to participate in these contests, and each winner will receive a spot in the beta test for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. More details will follow soon, so check the official World of Warcraft Community Website for updates.

So this is the excuse we've been using for a few weeks now, however, on the same day on the American forums

Q u o t e:
In January we outlined our plans for improving the performance and overall play experience in World of Warcraft. [http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=6635412] We're farther along with implementing some of the changes mentioned in that update, and we wanted to share the details with you.
We've spent the past few weeks obtaining new, top-of-the-line equipment and preparing it for deployment at a new World of Warcraft site. This new site, which we expect to go live by the beginning of April, will allow us to open new realms to accommodate our growing player base. In addition, we will be able to transfer existing realms to this new hardware to alleviate pressure on our current systems.

Notice the similarities? So, the US are also getting the new platform in April. So no new realms there either right as that'd be the excuse until April? Wrong

Q u o t e:
Today at 12:00 PM PST, we will be opening four new realms for all players to start fresh adventures in Azeroth! Players will be able to create new characters immediately with a choice of three realm types: PvP, PvE and RP.
Duskwood - PvE
Zuluhed - PvP
Anetheron - PvP
Steamwheedle Cartel -- RP PvE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that's without the new platform.
So how come they got there new servers early?

Apples and oranges... you're comparing two processes with different companies on two different continents..

Q u o t e: Mmmmmm but to my knowledge they recieved the same information we did about the new platform and such and realms.
So how come EU then gets the crap end of the stick and none existant realms? :)
Soooo just to sum it up, EU has: Hardly any blue posters (except for past 2 days for some apparant reason), screwed over on realms, screwed over on information and more.
Mmmm fair ^^ And why is there at least no new Pvp server if you want to use an excuse for no Pve hmm?
This opinion is always going back and forth.. give it a couple of days and US palyers will say the same thing, just the other way around ;)
Personally I think too many people create level 1 forum alts to 'post' with and fill up all the realms ;)

Q u o t e: ...Also I hope you aren't hinting that i'm using forum alts? If you check my account you'll see that this is my only character, if not hinting it towards me then I apologize.
No I'm not, that's why I specifically said "level 1 alts" :)

Q u o t e: I'm just going to up this one as it's raised a few issues.
The first the fact of the lack of help towards the PVE realms that need assistance with a new a realm or two. It's not about PVP realms where it "would be nice" to recieve a couple, it's about PVE realms that have no recommended or low servers, of which all have queue's at one time or another.
The second is the way that while Blizzard answers questions, they never actually give the answer to the question, more of an answer that they find "amusing".
The final one is when Aeus was asked to give us a proper comment he fell silent. This is the same issue with all of the Blues, on serious subject you will very rarely get a blue post yet if you post a thread with something like "voices" or "Happy birthday" you'll get a string of replies.
3 issues which I doubt will get answered, but here's to hope
And when we do answer something we get 'well fine, now answer all the other ones'.
If we answer two questions we get 'what, you only answered two?'.
If we answer three ... etc.
If we answered all questions, someone would come up with something new ;)
We answer what we can, interpret that how you like ;)
