While performance has improved lately through the different actions taken to this effect, it is still not at a level we feel absolutely comfortable with. Through our ongoing investigations we discovered an issue in two of our data centers which together with the greatly increased player concurrency over the last weeks may have an effect on the performance.
To ensure that all our data centers are fully updated we will have extended downtime to perform several software updates on February 1st and February 8th. All realms will be taken offline earlier, at 02:00 CET, and the maintenance will be extended to 10 hours, ending at noon CET. The realms not involved in the update are expected online a bit earlier.
We will continue to keep you informed about our findings and actions to address the performance of the World of Warcraft realms, and thank you for your feedback, understanding and patience while this work is ongoing.
