Dear Blizzard,
I, along with many others I have spoken with, am extremely disappointed with the way in which you have handled the change of migration dates for Bloodscalp to Trollbane.
Many guilds, including my own, have made arrangements for Friday/Saturday 20th/12st. This includes people taking time off work to enable them to transfer. The problem now is that it's going to be almost impossible to get hold of everyone and successfully migrate today/tomorrow. Or maybe that was your idea all along - to prevent the overcrowding of the destination realm.
There has been no website announcement on this matter. The dates have been public for a while now, and you expect to be able to change them without giving *any* advance warning? I notice that within the last few minutes Thundgot has slyly edited his sticky post which had the dates down as 20th-21st - it's nice to see that your community managers face up to your problems.
As a paying customer, I respectfully request that you keep these migrations open until Saturday 21st January 1500 CET, as originally intended, with no early closure.
You have tricked the very community you treasure so much, and I am severely disappointed.

I sincerely apologise for the mistake on the dates. The messaging slipped through the checks we have in place, and it was not discovered until today.
I have edited the details but also posted in several places that the dates have changed, including on the website. While I very much understand the displeasure with the change, please don't accuse me of trying to hide a mistake as that has never been my intention.
I believe it's very probable to add more migration days soon (next week), but I doubt I'll be able to arrange for it to be open on Thursday-Friday (due to other migration) or Saturday (due to database load).

The original plan didn't involve Saturday. The dates on the news message werre wrong. The plan was always Monday and Tuesday.
We're looking into the error message on the migration pages.
I'll be back with info about migration next week as soon as possible (hopefully within one hour).

We'll open for this migration also on Monday January 23rd:
Bloodscalp --> Trollbane
Burning Blade --> Trollbane
Daggerspine --> Mazrigos
Stormreaver --> Mazrigos
Depending on population levels on Trollbane and Mazrigos the migration may also be extended into Tuesday January 24th.

We will of course do everything we can to make sure the migration is working on these days, and continue to schedule extra days for migration if people are unable to migrate due to the system not working.

I can't guarrantee it, as if enough people manage to migrate before an error occurs we might end up with queues on the destination realms. However, I'll do whatever I can to make sure additional migration is made available.

Firstly, contrary to what was said in one of the Blue posts, the migration process from Bloodscalp to Trollbane was announced more than 11 days ago. As a Guild we've been planning this for weeks.
Both the website news and the sticky thread were posted on January 5th. Players might have planned the migration prior to this, but no dates were given earlier than January 5th.

I'm afraid there's no way around that. At least not one I can see right now. Later migration windows might be possible to Mazrigos, but there's a high chance that Trollbane will gain so much population that further migration won't be considered.
(We've marked Trollbane as Full to keep population down until we can complete the migration, though it's not really full yet.)

Not at this time. Character creation blocks are currently only used to prevent additional load on strained data centres, not on single realms.
