As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the overall performance of our European platform we will relocate the following Realms to a different data centre. This transfer will start during tomorrow's maintenance (Wednesday, 11th January):
Arthas
Azshara
Blackmoore
Blackrock
Gilneas
Kargath
Khaz'goroth
Lothar
As a safety precaution, the Realms listed below will also be taken off-line whilst this data transfer takes place. We expect all of these Realms to be unavailable for approximately 24 hours from the start of the maintenance. These Realms are scheduled to be back on-line by the morning of Thursday, 12th January and we will notify you in advance in the event of an early or delayed completion.
As a result of this inconvenience, all players with an active character on the affected Realms will be receiving a two-day game time extension. Players with an active character on the Realms that have experienced performance issues will be receiving an additional two-day time extension to a total of four days time extension. These include the eight realms listed above and those realms marked as receiving four days extension in the list below.
We'd like to thank you for your continued patience and support while our team work on resolving these issues and finding an effective long-term solution.

Today i'm completly unable to play on Vashj (1300ms+ and Eastern Kingdoms are down). I have made a post on Technical Support forum with description of that problem yet while it was posted i ended up with "Already posted" message. I thought it was some kind of forum issue and i closed the browser (stupid me... :/) I will remake that message tommorow since i have not enough will to do it today ;)
Only realms involved in this extended downtime are included in this game time extension.

That means, 8 servers will be "fixed" and hopefully lagfree and all that if everything goes as you at blizz hq have planned, whilst the other servers that gets shutdown for 24H will..uhmm...stay as they are...
Moving these 8 realms will ease the load on the backend of all realms listed, not just the 8 realms that are moved. That these realms share backend is also the reason all listed realms are down, not just the 8 being moved.

Believe me, we try give you as much head warning as possible. However, such downtime is a very tough decision, and the plans (including which realms were affected) were not finalized until last night.
In general, about realms not listed: they're not listed because they are not in the data centers involved in this move.
We'll get a login screen message up as soon as possible about this, and see how quick we can get the news on the website too.
