Doesn't anyone stop to think about these things? Perhaps next time you might want to think about asking my 90yr old grandmother her opnion, or my 2yr old son or maybe my dog. All of them would have told you that opening up transfers to old full servers will result in 300 queues again.
Way to go Blizz... honestly, next time just ask. I'm sure my son can spare the time between finger paining :/

Of course. Summer vacation being over has nothing to do with it... ;)

Q u o t e: Summer vacation is over? In case you havn't realized, most countries and studies have different summer vacation times. For example, I have another month of vacation still before I return to the university. Thus I find it unlikely that queues would be caused because suddenly everybody is rushing back from vacation.
My apologies for assuming that a sharp increase in the number of active players was due to vacation for many being over. There might of course be some other explanation. To be more correct: the number of simultanously active players has increased lately, to return to the level we saw prior to July, hence the queues.
Q u o t e: However, I'm willing to go as far as to say that the problem the OP is talking about might be related to the fact that the number of users allowed to move to a realm was based on usage statistics from the vacation period, and now more people are playing so queues have been formed. Partly because of transfers, partly because of people coming back.
The limit for setting a Full tag on a realm has deliberately been set lower during the Summer exactly for this reason. I don't have the latest numbers here at home, but I believe pretty much all realms experiencing any queue this last week are tagged Full and thus have received absolutely zero transfers.[ post edited by Thundgot ]

Q u o t e: really?i have another 5 weeks :/
Yeah, what I should have said is that the time during which many are away from home (out traveling, away form their computer) is over (or nearing its end) for this summer. Many still have a week or two (or more) of vacation, but they're closer to their computers again. Remember that not everybody is at school or studies and have two months or so of vacation. ;)

Q u o t e: and thats acceptable?
Depends entirely what you refer to as "that". Summer vacation ending resulting in queues is just a matter of fact. The queues are currently shorter than they were prior to the summer, with very few exceptions (one, I think).
Q u o t e: So Thundgot mate does this mean that after the summer a lot of servers will have the full tag removed?
That depends on the realm. While the threshold for getting the Full tag will get higher, so will the population on most realms. I don't want to try predict how this will affect specific realms.[ post edited by Thundgot ]

Q u o t e: I'm sorry if this seems a bit off topic but I would like to transfer to Thunderhorn... not eligible due to "technically full" tag... fair enough although it is medium populated - but then I look at Wildhammer which is "recommended" and that realm is high populated...
The population indicator is relative and current. That a realm has "high" population at 10 in the morning doesn't mean it's among the highest populated realms at peak hours.
