Subject: The Spice er I mean the Silithyst must flow
A new easter egg from our beloved Developer team.

Have you ever read Frank Herbert's "DUNE"?

The Book (it is a 6 book series) is about endless struggle of 2 houses upon a planet called Arrakis.

Arrakis is a vast planet of Sand - Dust and desert...

So what makes this planet so important to wage war on?

On Arrakis the most precious substance "grows" in the entire galaxy.

The "Spice".

Spice makes you powerful. Spice is needed for spacefaring, spice empowers everything of your mortal flesh, spice takes your conscious to go way beyond comprehension. Spice is life. Spice is... Immortality...

Thank you guys when I read the intro, I have remembered that great book of F.Herbert.

Good easter egg and a nice edition. Thanx.

"that faction's base will send off a full shipment of the dust"

So is there a padhishah emperor around in Azeroth!? :P

Spice doesn't grow iirc. it's " worm " excretion ;)

Q u o t e:
they used computers/powerful AI's.

However, the AI's took power and tried to kill all humans. The Butlerian jihad then succeeded in defeating the vile computers, after which all AI's were banned. The spice made it possible for human brains to reach the computing powers of the AI's.

go read the series, it's well worth it :)

Yep, it took them up to 3 months to reach this planet, I seem to remember it's one of the most outlying planets in the whole universe..

isnt sandtrout a larvae form of sandworm?

Technically yes, they are the catalyst though, if I remember right. And I think they are officially a different creature from the worms, but this is going way too much into Frank's biological theories, I'm not 100% on those.
