What's with these replies anyway? Are people proud of their short attention spans? Are they trying to make a statement or something, that posts should be short and to the point like "kkthxbai"?

Or is it yet another way for sad people to "pwn" others? "Hehehe, he typed a long post, take that! Pwned!"

I believe "too long, didn't read" (TLDR, 2LDR) used to be another way of saying "get to the point" when people ramble or rant and write an essay about something that can probably be said in 3 sentences. Unfortunately it has become a forum trend, like the "first!" posts, bordering on spam and sometimes even trolling (when posted as response to short and constructive posts).
