Subject: Duel Stun

I was dueling someone on top of the flight tower in Durotar. They were level 60, so they beat me easily, but their winning blow happened while I was jumping accross the gap between the loading section of the tower.

Instead of me continuing in my forward motion the blow stunned me mid air (not because the person stunned me, but because the duel ended). I then paused mid air for about 2 second and then fell to my death and took 10% durability loss.

I would not have fallen if the end of the duel did not cause a stun.

If this is propper game mechanics, then it is poor design.

WoW does not have a true physics engine, that would basically be far too much calculation, that would just wreak havoc upon the average computer. WoW isn't designed to be the ultimate in reality, it is designed to be fun. For instance if you are a miner you can stand on top of a mineral vein, mine it, then be floating in air until you move again.

Sacrifices have to be made to allow the game to be fun, while still remaining basic enough to not require ultimate gaming machines in order to play it. WoW is still supported on a 900mhz computer with 512 RAM. Just consider how long you have been playing, how many hours vs. the number of quirks like this you have seen personally.

However this is not a discussion for Tech Support, please use the General forum.
