I'm amazed that you made it to level 60, and never did the quest in Goldshire to get that stick out of your ass.

Just for some people that don't go to the regular forums you can read Eyonix's post about it in the following thread:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=9307166

He states the following for those that don't want to go to another link:

Q u o t e:
Basically, we wanted to make sure that both new races had an equal number of class availability options. As a result, we had to cut one class from the Blood Elf's selection pool. It came down to eliminating either the Hunter or the Warrior, and after a great deal of discussion we decided that the Hunter was the better fit for this race.

Think Ranger. ;)

QFT, I'm really hoping the blood elves are EVIL to kinda counter-act thier fairy first impression(in WoW.) I want them to fit in. They did jack up the draenei warp ship, and took a naaru(and are feeding off of it.) That's a pretty good start heheh. I hope you can actually go to the room or w/e where they have the naaru bound.

On the topic of lore, it kinda makes sense. I remember reading in one of the novels, that during the sundering only a small group of high elves(later to become BE,) escaped the destruction of the well. That group was mostly mages, and servants, and family members if I remember right. And what high elf warriors they did have stayed with the queen and perished to be remade into naga. It's been a long time since the sundering though.

I say let all races be all classes, making alliance shaman and horde paladins is the first step! Don't fight it blizz, let it happen, to hell with lore!

OH YEAH, BRING BACK THE TWIST!

They aren't exactly warm and fuzzy and they don't bake cookies in trees. They've been through a lot as a people and aren't about to roll over and just die.

But since they dont have a tank class, that is exactly what they will do, roll over and die.

I don't think so in the slightest. It's not as if any one race plays in vaccuum. Players group with other players and people solo with various classes beyond the warrior all the time.
