I like it myself. I like the lore that has been added. Despite the upset over it, I tend to remind people that the world is alive and growing and so is the lore. I like the down and dirty of the Blood Elves taking power for their own use and I like that the Draenei have found a new path to take to help their own people too.
I think what makes the Horde and Alliance unique can't be boiled down to just about class choices. I think what makes them unique is the entirety of their histories and their struggles. It's something you see in their architecture and how their societies function. It's the races that are joined together in common purpose and the story that led them to those purposes. Class is just class. It's just another building point both on a lore perspective and on a gameplay perspective.
I'm looking forward to how things will evolve from here.

My avatar is currently missing somewhere. Hopefully it will be found and put back where it belongs.
As for the mechanics side of things, I'm actually looking forward to see what comes of the availability to define Shaman and Paladins more. I'm also looking forward to dungeons being able to gain new complexity and strategies due to the Shaman and Paladins now being available to both. I think if anything it does free up some creative ideas to be utilized that may have never seen the light of day before.
I definitely see potential for more benefits than negatives to this addition myself.
