Subject: Memory upgrade, need some info on specs

Ok, I'm thinking about upgrading the memory on my PC. I currently have *opens PC case and peeks in*... 2 X 256MB chips inside, which gets me the minimum 512MB required.

Now I'm looking at some websites, shopping around and basically just can't understand some of the terms. Can anybody help with this?

Some memory kits have 200 pin, some have 186.
Some DIMM memory, some are DDR memory, some DDR2.
Then there seems to be a whole list of possibilities with the PC2700, PC3200 and so on...

Need assistance!

You'll want to look at your manual or pull your memory stick out to see what kind your machine supports. If not, take the machine into a computer store for assistance. Many places will help you figure out what you need.
