| | Wondering how beta is going to work once it gets started. Is there going to be premades or are we going to be able to transfer our live chars?
I really doubt we will be forced to lvl to 60.

Q u o t e: They added new leveling zone for BloodElfs and Draeneis... Do you really think they will let you skip them after all the work they did ?
We're adding a lot more 60-70 content, do you really think we want you to level up before experiencing it? :)
I don't know of any details, but I think it can safely be assumed that we won't expect players to level all the way to 60 so they can help test the bulk of the expansion content.

Q u o t e: Any chance you can get a more definitive answer? ;)
No, not until we actually release all of the beta information. Nothing is finalalized at this point so we won't be releasing any 'final information' (obviously).
From a logical standpoint, the content from 60-70 far outweighs the starting zones for the new races. Making players replay 1-60 with a minimal amount of new content there would be a waste of valuable testing time.
Who knows though, maybe we want to watch everyone play through The Barrens again. :P

Q u o t e: So when do you intend to release the beta? I check my email everyday.
-----
Ordinn said that 2 weeks ago we would be getting emails next week (which is now last week) :-(
No, what Ordinn said was:
"We're going to announce those next week. There was an issue with the data. Just so you know - everyone who participated won."
... referring to the announcement of those who won the PTR contests, which did indeed result in a beta entry as the prize. This however has nothing to do with the actual start of the beta, and I don't believe those who won the PTR contests will be receiving any e-mails until the beta actually begins.
It's likely that you'll know when the beta is going to begin in advance.
